IPS Payment Portal

The Payment Data Systems (PDS) Payment Portal web-site allows your Customers to enroll and make online electronic payments directly to your designated corporate settlement account. The Payment Portal web-site is delivered to match the look and feel of your Corporate web-site so that the Customer feels they are part of your web-site.

For those companies that want to establish recurring payments of those companies that currently need a more effective way to manage recurring payments, PDS allows you to cost-effectively offer your consumers the convenience of setting up and managing these payment types. PDS’s recurring payment engine has been implemented for many corporations and charities, like the United Way, that have the need to process repeating payments based on a fixed schedule. We believe this new offering will be of particular interest to debit card processors that need a site to report a consumer’s balance and purchase information as well as to accept debit card loads.

The Payment Portal web-site contains the following major features:

  • Two Standard Templates to chose from (additional are available; see your Account Manager for details)
  • Welcome/Enrollment Page to introduce Customer’s to your electronic payment service and allow them to come back to make additional payments
  • Terms of Use Page contains terms and conditions including a privacy policy – use our sample terms or use your own
  • Convenience Fee Page to allow you to recoup costs of processing online payments
  • Select your payment method(s): Credit Card; Check Card; ACH (Checking Accounts or Savings Accounts)
  • Capture the right personal information to meet ACH guidelines; store this information so your Customer doesn’t have to enter this information each time a payment is made
  • Provide a Service Account Information page to show your Customers where to find their Service Account Number so you capture the correct account number the first time
  • Capture Credit Card, Check Card, Checking Account, or Savings Account information to assure accurate and timely payments; store this information so your Customer doesn’t have to enter this information each time a payment is to be made
  • Provide Confirmations to the Customer to allow tracking of payments
  • Provide Payment History so that your Customer can view the results of past transactions
  • Allow your Customers to set up Repeating Payments so that they don’t have to come back to the Payment Portal web-site each time to make a payment
  • Provide a means to update Customer Information—change names, addresses, add/delete banking/credit card account information
  • Provide a message system to deliver important information to your Customers right on the Payment Portal web-site
  • Provide a Contact Us page so that your Customers can send you emails with questions regarding your electronic payment service

Credit Card fraud and risk reduction tools INCLUDED:

  • LUHN10 Check to verify if the credit card number is correctly formatted
  • IP Frequency Check to identify repetitive transaction attempts from the same IP address
  • Credit Card Number Frequency Check to identify repetitive transaction attempts form the same credit card
  • Negative Database to eliminate up-front known fraudulent, stolen, or charge-backed credit card numbers
  • Address Verification Check to verify billing address data captured as compared to what you have in your database

Credit Card fraud and risk reduction tools OPTIONAL:

  • IP Address Frequency Check to allow you to define your own frequency limits on repetitive transactions from the same IP address
  • Credit Card Number Frequency Check to allow you to define your own frequency limits on repetitive transactions from the same credit card
  • Positive Database to allow automatic passing of certain credit card numbers you identify
  • Card Verification Value 2 (CVV2) to capture the 3 digit number found on the signature plate of most credit cards to verify the card is present when the transaction is being made
  • Address Verification Check alternatives to allow stricter address verifications or more lenient checks depending on your needs

ACH Fraud and Risk Reduction Tools OPTIONAL:

MatchTrac verifies the validity of a bank routing number. PDS provides this service through a partnership with Thomson Financial Publishing. With MatchTrac you can:

  • lookup bank name by routing number
  • quickly identify data entry errors of routing number
  • identify inactive or retired routing numbers due to bank merger or acquisition
  • identify credit unions and financial institutions whose rules do not allow debit or credit ACH transactions to post to savings or checking accounts
  • can accomplish the above in real-time or batch

VeriTrac verifies the validity of routing numbers PLUS has the ability to verify that the account number is recognized through the “STAR” ATM network as an open account and is not currently in overdraft status. With VeriTrac you can:

  • recognize items drawn on closed accounts
  • recognize items drawn on accounts currently in overdraft status
  • identify inactive or retired routing numbers due to bank merger or acquisition
  • identify financial institutions with valid routing numbers that do not accept ACH transactions
  • can accomplish the above in real-time or batch
