PAYMENT DATA SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES PROMOTION OF KEN KELLER TO CTO |

San Antonio, TX January 7, 2008 Payment Data Systems, Inc. (OTC BB: PYDS) an integrated electronic payments solutions provider, today announced the promotion of long time employee Ken Keller to position of Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Ken, as the Chief Technology Officer, is responsible for setting the architectural and product strategies and plans for Payment Data Systems' merchant processing, bill payment and card issuing businesses. He also will ensure that product development, integration, and process organizations align technology capabilities with product direction. Ken brings more than 17 years in the development and delivery of specialized high volume transaction based systems. Prior to joining Payment Data Systems in 2003, he served in a variety of key leadership and executive technical roles at Billserv, Inc. While at Billserv, he led a number of system technology development efforts, including the original design of Billserv, Inc.'s enterprise EBPP data model, established connections to Business Partners such as CheckFree, oversaw the development and integration of the eBill warehouse, created and developed the Electronic Payment Gateway, and served, as he continues to serve today, as the General Manager of billx.com (PDS' consumer consolidated bill payment portal). Prior to Billserv, Inc., Ken consulted in the telecommunications industry with companies such as US Long Distance, LCI International, Qwest Communications and Broadwing specializing in enterprise wide database development and implementation.
